He’s worked on various assignments all over the world, from Europe,America and Africa to Australia.
His enthusiasm for fashion and beauty photography was triggered by early images of Jeanloup Sieff and Richard Avedon.
Besides his commercial assignments, Matthaeus also works on many of his personal projects for exhibitions and book publications. There his subjects are mainly landscapes and nudes, which he preferably shoots under water. This has now inspired many sucessful under- water fashion shoots .
